CANCELLATION POLICY

The St. Lawrence River Guide operates year-round with professional full-time fishing guides. We kindly ask that when scheduling your trip you make the necessary arrangements in order to avoid cancelling or re-scheduling, as this creates booking conflicts for our guides. That being said we do understand that unforeseen situations may arise beyond control which can sometimes affect travel plans, so we have created our cancellation policy to ensure fairness on both ends. 

In some situations, our policy allows that deposits from canceled trips can be put toward future trip bookings.

Booking Policy: Our trips fill quickly, therefore when reserving a trip in advance, a 100$ non-refundable deposit is required upon booking to hold your trip on the water. No exceptions. Deposits can be made online upon booking by Credit Card. We use PayPal to securely process online credit card payments. Remaining balance can be paid by cash or cheque after trip is completed.

Cancellation Policy: Cancellations made less than 30 days prior to your trip date will result in a forfeiture of your deposit if a reschedule date cannot be agreed upon. We understand that circumstances may arise that require a change in trip date and we will always try work with you to find a reschedule date. 

If you do not show up for your trip, you will loose your full deposit and owe balance of booking.

Inclement Weather: Cancellations by the guide due to weather, river conditions, or other circumstances will be refunded in full or rescheduled with no penalty. Cancellations due to river conditions or weather are exclusively at the guide's discretion.  

NOTE: Guided fishing trips proceed if the guide deems the conditions are safe, rain or shine. Inclement weather or undesirable fishing conditions are NOT acceptable reasons for a client to cancel. Only your fishing guide may cancel your guided trip prior to the scheduled date due to weather, river conditions, or mechanical breakdown.

In the event of dangerous conditions, The St Lawrence River Guide reserves the right to cancel the trip. If your reservation is canceled due to unsafe conditions, you will have the option to apply your deposit towards a future trip within the calendar year.
